Breathtaking Labor Day Drives in California

We can’t believe how fast time flies — it is September! School has started, and soon enough, we will begin to see those autumn leaves start to fall. September also means Labor Day! If you are struggling to figure out what to do for Labor Day in the wake of COVID-19, the team at Mercedes Service of Silicon Valley is here to help. We have a compiled a list of absolutely breathtaking Labor Day drives in California, which means your Mercedes can participate in the fun:

Here is a list of absolutely magnificent drives along California coast:

  1. Monterey to Big Sur: This is one of California’s most enchanting drives, as you drive down State Route 1 from Monterey to Big Sur, weaving along the ocean. The views are spectacular — make sure to take out your camera and snap pictures for future reference.
  2. Santa Monica to Solvang: This is a little bit of a longer drive, but still worth the miles. Solvang is a charming Danish town full of impressive architecture. You can take the scenic route by driving along State Route 1 and Highway 101 from Santa Monica. You will pass Malibu, Ventura, and the Mussel Shoals Beach. You can start the other way, Solvang to Santa Monica.
  3. San Francisco to Santa Cruz down Highway 1: Several routes will take you from San Francisco to Santa Cruz, but Highway 1 is easily the most picturesque route. The road will take you through Davenport, Coast Dairies State Park, and Pescadero.
  4. Long Beach to Coronado: While driving down the I-5, you will be tempted to stop at many points, including the beautiful beaches. Along the way, you can drive through San Clemente, Carlsbad, and San Diego.

September is also an excellent time to bring your Mercedes to Mercedes Service of Silicon Valley for an inspection, especially with all holidays soon upon us.
